History of Apollonic Tangent

Overview

Apollonic Tangent is a Season 19 Trait for Bows. Arrows fired through a Guidance Ring release seeking projectiles. Each projectile Scorches its target and deals more damage the farther it travels. Precision hits help steer the seekers onto their targets.

How it works in practice

The Guidance Ring is the prerequisite. Only arrows shot through a Ring gain seeking behaviour and distance-based damage, so the trait is activated by creating Rings. The Ring is charged by precision hits and final blows, and enemy Guardians add extra charge. At full charge, hip-firing creates a Ring.

Curated roll

The trait is only listed on Hierarchy of Needs, the related Exotic bow. Its curated partners on that weapon are Panoptic Tessellation as a catalyst, which also rewards Ring deployment with a separate draw-time and reload bonus, along with the Elastic String bowstring and the Fiberglass Arrow Shaft arrow.

Tips

It is a Ring-based trait, so it is best used on builds that deploy Guidance Rings often.
