History of Antumbra

Overview

Antumbra is one of the two Taken Essence cleanse types in the Vault encounter of Last Wish. The other is Penumbra. Each room of the Vault needs one of the two.

Vault encounter

An Eye of Riven drops Taken Essence when killed. The Runner who picks it up sees Antumbra or Penumbra in their buff list. They must take it to the plate that needs that cleanse. Players match the symbols between rooms to work out which room needs which cleanse. Destinypedia gives a symbol on the right side as needing Antumbra, and the on-left symbol as needing Penumbra. Descriptions of this mapping differ between guides.
