History of Anomaly

Overview

The Anomaly is the mysterious presence that the Aionians of Kepler study rather than dismiss. It is not the same as The Anomaly, a Crucible map set on the Moon.

Lore

The Tenets of AION describe the “Kepler Object”, named after Kepler, which earlier generations found impossible under known laws. Instead of bending the data to fit expectations, they came to Kepler to investigate it, and the text refers to “the whisper of the Anomaly”. Later notes describe it as something that may speak through failed experiments and through Dark Matter, and the book frames studying it as a million-year project.

Kepler

The Aionians call III, the member of The Nine that manifested a black hole beneath Kepler, the Holy Anomaly.
