History of Amestris

Overview

RSS Amestris, formally Reef Space Station Amestris, is an Awoken space station in the Reef. It was first mentioned in Forsaken.

History

The station was still under construction when Aphelion ships attacked it, and everyone aboard apparently died. Six distress calls were sent from the station, including one from Namqi Sen to Orin. A transcript of that message was kept in a Gensym lab on Bamberga, alongside documents about Aphelion sightings. A Reef fleet investigation found the hull heavily contaminated with radioactive material but no other sign of hostile activity. The station was later moved beyond the Reef and abandoned.
