History of All For One

All For One is the final challenge in the Crota's End raid, in the Crota encounter. Beating it grants an extra reward chest.

How to complete

1. Break Crota's shield within 3 seconds of first hitting him with a sword. This makes him kneel and starts the damage phase. If your swords expire and the shield is still up, the challenge fails.
2. Kill the Swordbearer while passing the Chalice to obtain swords. Three players with swords is the reliable setup; two swords plus a Tractor Cannon player also works.
3. Have the Tractor Cannon user debuff Crota first, then all sword holders swing together. Stack damage buffs such as Well of Radiance and Banner of War (Banner does not work with the Hive sword, per one guide).
4. Alternate heavy attacks and Super so you do not waste damage; only one sword Super hits at a time.
5. Repeat for every damage phase until Crota dies.
6. Keep the arena centre clear so buffed players can reach Thralls.

Rewards

Normal mode gives an additional chest with random Crota's End loot. Master difficulty guarantees an Adept weapon.

Notes

The Master recommendation is three swords plus a Tractor Cannon carrier.
