History of Akka, the Worm of Secrets

Akka, the Worm of Secrets is one of the five Worm Gods of the Hive. The Worm Gods were imprisoned beneath Fundament until Rhulk turned them toward the Witness, and they later offered Osmium Throne heirs power and immortality in exchange for parasitic larvae.

Death

Auryx sought out Akka to gain the power needed to commune with the Darkness and the Deep. He slew Akka to get it, then communed with the Deep and became the Taken King.

Accounts differ on Akka's fate. Destinypedia's Akka entry calls Akka dead and says the corpse fought Oryx years later. Its Worms entry lists Akka as incapacitated. Oryx later used Akka's shell to build the Dreadnaught.
