History of Ager's Scepter Catalyst

Ager's Scepter Catalyst is the Exotic catalyst triumph for Ager's Scepter, the Exotic Trace Rifle from Season of the Lost. Completing it unlocks the catalyst's upgrade: the weapon becomes Masterwork and gains the Will Given Form perk, which drains Super energy to overflow the magazine and empower the beam with bonus damage and the ability to slow and freeze targets. Masterworked, it also generates Orbs after rapid defeats and shows a kill tracker.

== Getting the catalyst ==

The catalyst drops from Wayfinder's Troves in Astral Alignment; opening a trove costs 150 Parallax Trajectory and the drop is not guaranteed. You must own and have claimed Ager's Scepter first (see Ager's Scepter Claimed and A Hollow Coronation).

== Completing the objective ==

Equip Ager's Scepter with the catalyst inserted.

Defeat 1,000 combatants with it. Precision kills give more progress, so aim for heads.

Destroying destructible walls in the Shattered Realm activity gives significantly more progress, so farm those with the Scepter equipped. At launch there were reports of this wall progress being unreliable (Bungie forum), so verify it is counting.
