Overview

A Rising Chorus is the seasonal quest of Episode: Echoes, given by Failsafe at the H.E.L.M. and continued through three acts. Act I has the player scanning Nessus for specimens, Act II has them upgrade Failsafe, harvest Radiolite and deploy nanobots through Lost Sectors and Battlegrounds, and Act III ends with the Exotic mission Encore. Completing the quest awards Choir of One and its crafting pattern. Content from Echoes remained available in later episodes.

Walkthrough

Act I

  1. Speak with Failsafe at the H.E.L.M. to begin Act I, then scan Nessus locations for the first, second and third samples. A HUD proximity sensor shows how close you are to each target.
  2. Along the way Failsafe issues Specimen ID quests that reward upgrades for her.

Act II

  1. Talk to Ikora at the Tower to start Act II, then complete the Echoes Battleground Delve on Nessus.
  2. Use Planetary Pistons in Echoes activities to spawn Iridescent Radiolite Incubators and collect Code Mutations (7 in total).
  3. Activate Failsafe's upgrade protocol at the H.E.L.M. and speak with the upgraded Failsafe, who unlocks the Hydra Tail Research Bay.
  4. Complete the Battleground: Conduit and respond to Saint-14's holoprojector message.
  5. Harvest Radiolite (10 in total) and bring the materials to Failsafe so she can fabricate nanobots.
  6. Deploy nanobots at three Chamber of Stone sites, then at three radiolarian springs in The Conflux Lost Sector.
  7. Complete the Battleground: Core, then study the nanobots' progress with Failsafe.
  8. Search the Watcher's Grave coordinates for a research specimen, collect it and deliver it to Failsafe for analysis.
  9. Meet Failsafe about locating the Conductor. In the Sunken Cavern, defeat the Vex that holds the access code.
  10. Check the message in the H.E.L.M., complete Mission: Shell and speak with Saint-14 in the Tower Hangar. Failsafe will contact you when Act III begins.

Act III

  1. Begin the Exotic mission Encore: Overture (launched from the H.E.L.M.). Its first boss encounter pits you against Eexonios and Iziira, both pledged to Yirix.
  2. After the mission, return to the H.E.L.M. and speak with Ikora and Failsafe.
  3. Travel to The Rift, a Lost Sector on Exodus Black on Nessus. Find the five stolen Golden Age tech items, which look like white cubes, hidden in the Lost Sector. The entrance is a hole in the wall behind the large Lost Sector logo near Failsafe's ship wreckage in the Exodus Black landing zone. The first cube lies near the main path toward the boss area. Searching the Rift unlocks the Specimen ID NES007 quest, which you can find during Encore: Overture.
  4. Complete the Encore mission, defeat Parados, Choral Mind and loot the chest that spawns in the arena to receive Choir of One.

Rewards

  • Choir of One, an Exotic Auto Rifle, and its crafting pattern.
  • Failsafe upgrades and Specimen ID rewards along the way.
