Overview

A Good Match is the exotic catalyst quest for the Auto Rifle Tommy's Matchbook. After you own the weapon (from the season pass reward track, per GoSunoob), Banshee-44 in the Tower gives you the quest. It is a grind of several sessions rather than a single sitting.

Walkthrough

1. Speak to Banshee-44 in the Tower to learn about the catalyst.
2. Complete three objectives in any order: earn points (completing Ops activities; Crucible wins give extra), rapidly defeat targets with Auto Rifles for multikills, and defeat Guardians while using Auto Rifles. The in-game step lists 100 points, 200 Auto Rifle multikills and 100 Auto Rifle Guardian defeats.
3. Return to Banshee-44 to receive the catalyst.

Tips: PvP (Crucible, Gambit) is the quickest source of points and Guardian defeats; higher-difficulty content like Nightfall strikes is better for multikills (per GameRant and GoSunoob).

Sources disagree on the point target: the in-game text in this database says 100 points, GameRant says 200 and GoSunoob says 400, likely because the requirement changed between seasons. Trust the in-game value.

Rewards

• Tommy's Matchbook Catalyst, which adds the Heat of the Moment perk (more health recovery while Ignition Trigger is active). Guides say a further 700 kills with the weapon are needed to unlock the perk.
