History of Witch's Curse

Witch's Curse is the debuff that replaces a Witch's Blessing in the Crown of Sorrow raid. A Guardian gains the blessing by standing in the green Hive pool at the start of the encounter. Buffed Guardians can damage enemies that are immune to non-buffed players, which forces the team to split into buffed and non-buffed pairs.

The blessing lasts about one minute. When it runs out it becomes the Witch's Curse, which kills the buffed Guardian, so buffed players should kill Ogres and Wizards quickly.

Swapping the buff

The Witch's Vessel passes the buff on. In the Witch's Ritual, the whole team shoots the vessel from its circle, which removes the curse and gives the blessing to the non-buffed players. A Guardian who dies loses the buff and should wait for teammates to activate the vessel rather than be re-buffed.
