History of Winter's Guile

Winter's Guile is an Exotic gauntlets piece for Warlocks, speculated to have belonged to Lord Felwinter, one of the Iron Lords.

Overview

Its intrinsic perk is Warlord's Sigil: a melee final blow grants a stacking melee damage bonus (up to 5 stacks, about 4 seconds, refreshed on each kill). It suits melee-focused builds such as Void Attunement of Hunger or Arc Stormcaller. The lore tab shows Felwinter being told to adopt his name, hinting at an origin in the Deep Stone Crypt. An ornament, "Dead of Winter", exists.

Acquisition

No specific quest. It drops randomly from Exotic engrams (rarely Legendary engrams) and as a world drop. Once owned it can be reclaimed from the vault or the Exotic Kiosk. Its values have been tuned and it was temporarily disabled at one point after a damage exploit (Game Rant), so check current patch notes.
