History of Wings of Sacred Dawn

Wings of Sacred Dawn is an Exotic chest armor piece for Warlocks.

Overview

Its intrinsic perk is Tome of Dawn: while Dawnblade is equipped, aiming weapons while in midair suspends you there for a short time. Weapon hits (precision hits in the original wording) extend the duration, and the newer version also improves airborne accuracy, reduces flinch and grants damage resistance. It is aimed at Solar Dawnblade players who fight from the air. Flavor text: "There will come a day when the light will never fade." The lore tab is "The Parable of the Venging Fire" by Pujari.

Acquisition

• Historically, Warlocks could pick it as one of three Exotic rewards after the "Riptide" campaign mission on Titan and speaking to Sloane (PowerPyx).
• It is sold by Xûr and can drop from Exotic engrams or as a rare world drop (Destinypedia, game data).
• It can be reacquired through the Exotic Kiosk once unlocked. Sources do not agree on details of older methods, so check in game.
