Overview
The Wildwood set is a Legendary armor set from the EDZ, one of the first armor sets in Destiny 2. It belongs to Year 1 of Destiny 2 (listed as Season 01 in some references) and is tied to the Red War era of the EDZ rather than to a later season or expansion. Each class gets its own five-piece version:
- Titan: Wildwood Helm, Wildwood Gauntlets, Wildwood Plate, Wildwood Greaves and the class item Wildwood Mark.
- Hunter: Wildwood Mask, Wildwood Grips, Wildwood Vest, Wildwood Strides and the class item Wildwood Cloak.
- Warlock: Wildwood Cover, Wildwood Gloves, Wildwood Robes, Wildwood Boots and the class item Wildwood Bond.
The set has no element bonus and no element-specific synergy has been reported.
Acquisition
Vendor: Devrim Kay sells the set in Trostland in the EDZ. In the current listing each piece costs 25 Legendary Shards and 1,000 Glimmer, and purchased armor comes at the Power floor. Earlier listings charged 15 to 25 Legendary Shards plus 10 EDZ Tokens, and before that the pieces came through EDZ reputation with Devrim.
Drops: Pieces can also drop randomly from Flashpoint activities and EDZ Engrams.
Availability: The set is obtainable. Since Destiny 2 version 6.3.0, Devrim no longer requires rank for destination armor, sells no sunset weapons, and the EDZ reputation system and its Dusklight Shard cost were removed.
Set bonuses
2 pieces: Watchtower. Precision final blows while aiming down sights grant damage resistance, and the resistance lasts until you stop aiming down sights. In practice you keep aiming down sights while landing precision kills to keep the resistance up.
4 pieces: Field Expertise. Precision final blows with any weapon grant a stacking bonus to reload speed, target acquisition and weapon damage against non-boss combatants for a short duration. A weapon final blow from a non-precision direct hit ends the effect early. The bonus does not apply to bosses, so it is strongest in adds-heavy combat.
The 4-piece bonus needs four of the five set pieces, and the fifth slot can hold an Exotic without breaking it.
Builds and synergies
Both bonuses reward precision final blows, so the set suits precision-focused weapons and playstyles, and that is the main thing to plan around.
