The '''Whisper of the Worm''' is a Solar Exotic Sniper Rifle (heavy) introduced in the Warmind expansion (July 2018) as successor to Black Spindle. Its intrinsic '''White Nail''' gives higher base precision damage, and three rapid precision hits refill the magazine.

Acquisition

• Complete The Whisper mission (20-minute timer, Taken mazes, final boss with three Taken Ultras). Historically from Eris Morn's quest.
• '''Exotic Archive''' at the Tower.
• It was removed after Season of Arrivals and returned with Into the Light.

Catalyst

Unlocked by completing The Whisper on Legend difficulty (The Whisper (Expert)); older sources describe the Eris Morn quest 'Whispers of the Taken'. It grants '''Whispered Breathing''': bonus range and precision damage when aiming without firing, plus reload speed. Defeat 500 enemies to masterwork.
