History of Weapons of Light

Weapons of Light is a damage buff associated with Ward of Dawn. Its behavior has changed over time: Bungie’s 2024 update removed the buff from Ward of Dawn’s default effect and retained it through Helm of Saint-14. In the June 9, 2026 Update 9.7.0 rework, allies inside Ward of Dawn again gain Weapons of Light. The same rework enlarged the dome and added a relocatable core, increased melee damage for its owner, and weakened enemies inside; those are dated patch behaviors and may be changed by later updates.
