History of Wayfinder's Compass

The Wayfinder's Compass is the quest item of Season of the Lost used in Astral Alignment, the six-player seasonal activity in the Dreaming City.

You drop the Compass at the center of the Blind Well to begin Astral Alignment, which blends Blind Well and Override play (defending beacons, depositing batteries, then a Blind Well boss fight using a Taken Essence buff). Running it charges the Compass and reawakens ley lines in the Dreaming City, and upgrades that boost rewards are unlocked in the HELM with Parallax Trajectory (per Prima/PC Invasion). The sources opened did not explain how the Compass is first obtained.
