History of Wave Frame

Wave Frame is an intrinsic archetype of Grenade Launcher weapons: a one-shot handheld launcher whose projectile releases a linear wave of energy when it contacts the ground, similar to a Thermite grenade.

Use

Wave Frame launchers are aimed at the ground in front of enemies and are very effective at clearing groups of lower-tier enemies. Heavy-slot "compressed wave frame" variants behave similarly and are used on bosses.

Notable weapons

Martyr's Retribution was the first Wave Frame grenade launcher in Destiny's history. Others include Forbearance, Explosive Personality and Deafening Whisper.
