History of Vying for Supremacy

Overview

Vying for Supremacy is a weekly quest of the Guardian Games event, given by Lord Shaxx in the Tower. It tracks your score in the Supremacy Crucible playlist, a mode similar to Clash where defeated Guardians drop Crests that must be collected to score. Each week is a short grind: expect roughly one to two hours of Supremacy to reach Platinum, less if you win often.

The quest is event-limited and only available while Guardian Games is running (it appeared in the 2023 event, 2 to 23 May 2023, and returned in later years). Reported dates vary: one source is dated March 2024, so the current year's event schedule applies.

Walkthrough

1. Pick up the quest from Lord Shaxx and launch the Supremacy playlist. Progress carries over from match to match.
2. Reach Bronze (150 score) by defeating enemies, collecting Crests and winning matches. This unlocks the Bronze Scoring Torch in the Tower.
3. Reach Silver (300 score), unlocking the Silver Scoring Torch.
4. Reach Gold (600 score), unlocking the Gold Scoring Torch.
5. Reach Platinum (1,000 score), unlocking the Platinum Scoring Torch.
6. Keep playing if you like, then wait for the weekly reset. The quest has 15 steps: the same four tiers plus a completion step, repeated across the event's three weeks.

Tips: you do not need to win every match. If your slaying is weak, focus on picking up Crests, including your teammates' and enemies'. Light each Scoring Torch in the Tower for rewards and glows, and bring medallions to the Podium to claim loot.

• Guardian Games Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Rewards each week, with quality scaling with the highest tier reached.
• Scoring Torch glows in the Tower.
• Event loot such as the Hullabaloo and, in 2023, Taraxippos, The Title and Heir Apparent were the main event targets.
