History of Vortex Grenade

Overview

The Vortex Grenade is a Void grenade. On impact it explodes, applying a five-tick burn that damages enemies and stops their health regeneration. It then creates a vortex lasting 4 seconds that deals continuous damage to enemies inside it. Overlapping damage-over-time effects do not stack.

Classes

Destinypedia lists the Vortex Grenade for all three Void subclasses, while other guides list it only for Voidwalker and Nightstalker, where it is the default grenade. Sentinel Titans use the Voidwall grenade instead in those guides.

Synergies

• Chaos Accelerant (Voidwalker): draws power from your Super to overcharge the grenade.
• Lockdown (Nightstalker): doubles the duration of grenade effects.
• Nezarec's Sin (Voidwalker equipment): Void-damage kills increase ability energy recharge.

Some Voidwalker entries, such as Bloom, Feed the Void and Insatiable, were listed before Void 3.0 and may have changed since.
