History of Vex Transponder

Overview

The Vex Transponder is a quest item from the Black Armory launch, used in the quest to unlock the Izanami Forge on Nessus. It drops randomly from Vex enemies.

Quest steps

1. Charge the transponder with 100 Vex kills. One guide suggests two runs of the Orrery Lost Sector near Artifact's Edge, followed by a few kills outside it.
2. Complete the heroic Spire Integration public event in the Hallows. One source says it must be completed in the Sink on Nessus to count.
3. Kill 20 Vex Minotaurs.
4. Bring the refurbished Izanami Igniter to Ada-1 to unlock a harder version of the Insight Terminus strike. Finishing it opens the Izanami Forge.

Notes

The guides are from the 2018 launch, and sources disagree on some locations. Check a current guide before following the steps.
