History of Vestige of Light

Overview

The Vestige of Light is a quest item from the secret quest for the Navigator catalyst in Ghosts of the Deep. The quest appears in the dungeon after the base Navigator exotic is obtained.

Steps

1. Collect a Vestige of Light from the piles of dead Ghosts in the dungeon and place it at a Hive statue. Reported timers for this step range from 60 to 90 seconds (2026).
2. Each activated statue summons a Lightbearer Acolyte. Deal enough damage to make it retreat, then find the next statue.
3. After all three statues are activated, defeat Thul-Ar, Acolyte of Nokris. A chest behind the third statue then holds the Catalyst.

The catalyst adds the Gordian Knot perk, which creates a Grapple Tangle at the targeted point that all players can use as a free grapple point.
