History of Verity's Brow

Verity's Brow is an Exotic Warlock helmet.

Overview

The Fourth Magic grants Death Throes when weapon final blows match the damage type of your equipped grenade. Death Throes increase grenade damage and energy; throwing a grenade while the buff is active increases nearby allies' grenade regeneration. Update 3.3.0 (2021) used an earlier subclass-energy match condition; the current item definition matches your grenade's damage type.

Update 8.1.0 (October 2024) raised PvE grenade damage from the first Death Throes stack to 40%; each additional stack adds 15%, up to 100% at five stacks. Update 8.2.0 (February 2025) changed Death Throes to a meter that steps down through five tiers rather than disappearing at once. Those tiers last 8, 7, 6, 5, and 4 seconds.

Acquisition

Exotic engrams and rare world drops. Exotic armor focusing is also available through Master Rahool; since July 15, 2025 (Update 9.0.0.1), his reputation track has been removed, and Novel focusing for past-expansion armor no longer requires prior engram decryption. Older Shard prices and New Light quest references are historical.
