Verity's Brow is an Exotic Warlock helmet.
Overview
The Fourth Magic grants Death Throes when weapon final blows match the damage type of your equipped grenade. Death Throes increase grenade damage and energy; throwing a grenade while the buff is active increases nearby allies' grenade regeneration. Bungie's Update 3.3.0 (2021) documented an earlier subclass-energy match condition; Bungie's current item definition specifies a match to your grenade's damage type.
Update 8.1.0 (October 2024) raised PvE grenade damage from the first Death Throes stack to 40%; each additional stack adds 15%, up to 100% at five stacks. Update 8.2.0 (February 2025) changed Death Throes to a meter that steps down through five tiers rather than disappearing at once. Those tiers last 8, 7, 6, 5, and 4 seconds.
Acquisition
The item record lists Exotic engrams and rare world drops. Exotic armor focusing is also available through Rahool; Bungie's July 15, 2025 notes say his reputation track was removed and Novel focusing for past-expansion armor no longer required prior engram decryption. Older Shard prices and New Light quest references are not current acquisition guidance.
