History of Vehicle Bay

Overview

The Vehicle Bay is a combat area inside Empress Caiatl's Land Tank in the Proving Grounds strike. Players reach it after the Cabal gravity lift, which drops them into a control room above the hangar. Jumping through the large gap in that room's floor leads into the bay.

Encounter

The hangar holds many Cabal soldiers of several types, plus Interceptor vehicles that must be destroyed. Once enough enemies are down, two Goliath tanks hover in toward the back of the room. Players must kill both tanks and the remaining Cabal, and then a doorway in the middle of the back wall opens.

The Colossus miniboss is not in the bay. It appears at the Land Tank entrance before the bay, and it has an immune phase at about half health that ends when the shield generator inside its orange dome is destroyed.

Seasonal challenge

The Vehicle Bay is where many of the "Eliminate Caiatl's Cabal" targets appear. Val Kladior spawns at the back left and Optus Taxaat at the back right. Neither is guaranteed to spawn during the Interceptor phase, so several runs may be needed.
