History of Triton Vice

Triton Vice are Exotic Hunter gauntlets introduced in Season of the Deep.
Overview
Halberdier's Reach improves Glaive handling: it increases reload speed and melee damage while surrounded, overflows a round into the magazine on Glaive melee final blows, and makes Glaive projectile final blows detonate. Bungie's May 2024 preview clarified that detonations always match the Glaive's damage type, whether or not it matches the equipped subclass; the surrounded melee bonus also lingers for five seconds after leaving a crowd. Update 8.2.0 later reduced the detonation delay on projectile kills.
Acquisition
The item record lists Exotic Armor Focusing. Legend/Master Lost Sectors were described as an acquisition route in older guides; treat those instructions as historical because the armor system and focusing routes changed after The Final Shape. Bungie's July 2025 notes say Novel focusing for past-expansion armor is available without the former Rahool reputation/decryption gate.
