History of Trials Tokens

Overview

Trials Tokens were an uncommon currency earned in Trials of Osiris, mainly from completing matches and Saint-14's Trials bounties. Players turned them in to Saint-14 for Trials Engrams, which contain Trials gear the player had already collected.

Retirement

Tokens expired at the end of each Trials event and are no longer in the game. Bungie retired them in the 3.3.0 patch notes (25 August 2021) following the Trials of Osiris revamp, and the Trials Token wiki entry says they became a Fizzled Trials Token when Saint-14's reputation system was reworked. The wiki ties this to Season of the Lost; sources differ on the exact timing.
