History of Trials Labs

Overview

Trials Labs is an occasional experimental Trials of Osiris playlist in the Crucible used to test rule changes on select weekends. Its main example is Freelance Trials, with no premade fireteams and solo-only matchmaking. Introduced alongside the Season of the Lost Trials overhaul, which allowed matchmaking without a full fireteam.

Notes

Standard Trials: 3v3 Elimination, 90-second rounds, and Special/Heavy ammo no longer carries between rounds. Labs availability varies by weekend.
