History of Trench Barrel

Trench Barrel is a perk of the Legend of Acrius Exotic shotgun, unlocked by its catalyst. After a melee hit, the weapon gains +50% damage and increased handling and reload speed until three shots are fired. Reported timer values range from 3 seconds to 5 seconds, and the buff ends after three shots either way.

The catalyst drops from Nightfall strikes and was reduced from 500 to 300 kills in patch 7.2.0.1.

Trench Barrel also rolls on other shotguns, such as Threat Level.
