History of Treacherous Contacts

Overview

Treacherous Contacts is a chapter of As Without, a lore book introduced in Reclamation. The book's entries are unlocked through data pads encountered in featured Portal activities.

How to unlock

Play featured Portal activities and interact with the data pads found along their routes. Continue collecting the book's entries to unlock this chapter in As Without. Its three-point progress counter belongs to the lore unlock; it is not a list of three unnamed combat objectives.

Lore and reward

The chapter describes a new Cabal faction trading weapons on Mars, a robbery of Xûr in the Winding Cove, and interest in Drifter's Derelict. These reports connect the faction's arms trade with attempts to obtain paracausal weaponry. Completion unlocks the chapter in As Without, with no separate equipment reward.
