A Throwing Knife is a Hunter melee ability used by the Gunslinger subclass. Gunslinger’s Solar melee options include Lightweight Knife, Weighted Knife, and Knife Trick, with different effects. Bungie’s May 1, 2025 This Week in Destiny preview announced a tracking adjustment across Throwing Knife melee abilities. Bungie’s Update 8.2.6 release notes, dated May 6, 2025, confirm the tracking fix shipped; they also list increased tracking shape and strength for Lightweight Knife. Bungie’s December 2025 Update 9.5.0 separately increased Lightweight Knife’s critical-hit multiplier. The exact options and tuning are patch-dependent.
