History of Threader

Threaders are Armor Synthesis bounties sold by Ada-1 in the Tower. Ada-1 offers five types: Vanguard, Crucible, Gambit, Destination and Raid/Dungeon, and a player can hold only one of each type at a time.

Turning in a completed Threader gives Synthcord, which the Loom converts into Synthweave. The Destiny 2 Wiki lists a single Armor Synthesis bounty as yielding a stack of 100 Plush Synthcord. Guides give 100 or 150 Synthstrand as the cost of a bounty, and the figure appears to vary by season, so check the current price in-game.

The Loom converts 100 Synthcord into one Synthweave, which is used for Synthweave Bolts in the Armor Synthesis system.
