History of Thin Precipice

Overview

Thin Precipice is a Legendary Strand Sword with a Vortex frame that uses heavy ammo; its heavy attack lunges and deals area damage. It was the first Strand sword in the game. Collective Action and Chain Reaction are the perks High Ground Gaming highlights, although it notes that Legendary swords still trail the competition. Its lore follows a Hive Knight, Kelgorath, who accepts a shard of the Taken King's blade as an instrument of Xivu Arath.

Acquisition

Introduced with Season of the Deep, it dropped from the seasonal activities Salvage and Deep Dive, and could be focused with Deep Engrams at the Sonar Station on the H.E.L.M. (rank-up packages from the Sonar Station also offered it). Destinypedia lists it as craftable (five patterns).
