History of Therin Vai

Overview

Therin Vai is an Awoken Hunter Guardian of The Last City. His Ghost revived him in the Dark Age after a shipwreck, when he had no memory of his past, and he chose his own name. He first travelled with a band of Risen called the Pilgrim Guard, who took him in, and he met Orin, another Awoken, who helped him understand his identity.

The Six Coyotes

In The Last City he befriended several Hunters and joined them in defending the settlement of Coyote from the Fallen. After a local resident, Shinobu, was killed and revived as a Guardian, the six Hunters formed a fireteam known as the Six Coyotes. Therin named their jumpship, The Bandwagon. The group became known as the first Guardians to scout beyond the Cosmodrome wall in Old Russia.

Search for Rasputin

He declared he would find the lost Warmind Rasputin. His search is part of the Six Coyotes' legend, which traces back to Destiny: The Taken King.

Appearances

Therin Vai first appears in Destiny 2 and is mentioned in Forsaken and Season of the Drifter. The Neoteric Kiyot Set includes the Neoteric Kiyot Cloak and Neoteric Kiyot Grasps.
