History of The Way Between

Overview

The Way Between is the ten-step Praxic Blade quest tied to the Equilibrium dungeon on Venus (Renegades). It starts with Aunor Mahal and takes several dungeon clears, as new objectives appear after each. You wield the Praxic Blade to break Taken blights and barriers.

Walkthrough

1. Speak with Aunor Mahal about the threat from the Barant Imperium.
2. Stop the Imperium's Dredgen forces pillaging the Praxic Temple in the dungeon "Equilibrium".
3. Visit the Praxic Temple (after the Harvester encounter) and return Sere's stolen relic.
4. Recover a second relic: left of the first encounter, break a Taken blight with the Praxic Blade, stand in Taken energy for the Shadow buffs, clear enemies before the timer ends (destroy Acolyte eyes for extra time), finish the dungeon, deposit the relic.
5. Master the Darkness: a second blight sits in a cramped hallway before the ship jump. Repeat the buff mechanics, fight Harrow and Dredgen Sere again, deposit.
6. Traverse the Imperium's shadows: a third blight is before the platforming section. Knock the shielded enemy off the ledge with an alternate grenade to reveal blights; break them for platforms leading to buttons.
7. Open the Taken portal in the inner temple.
8. Defeat the lingering Shade of Sere in two damage phases, using the Shadow ability from Taken orbs.
9. Commune with the Praxic fire.
10. Visit Aunor Mahal on Mars.

Rewards

Praxic Blade cores and the final catalyst (Energy Conduit) per one source; The Game Post says dungeon loot focusing and the Heirloom catalyst. Destructoid also lists two tier-five gear drops. Treat details as approximate.
