History of The Vow (quest)

Overview

The Vow is the Exotic catalyst quest for Eriana's Vow, given by Banshee-44 in the Tower. It was added with Season 8 (Season of the Undying) and takes a few hours of playlist activity.

Walkthrough

1. Visit Banshee-44 in the Tower (you need to own Eriana's Vow).
2. Earn progress by completing Ops activities: Vanguard Operations, Gambit, Crucible matches and seasonal playlist activities all count, and the gun need not be equipped. Older sources list a target of 400 points (1 per activity); the current in-game quest data lists 100. Trust the in-game counter.
3. Return to Banshee-44 to receive the catalyst.

Rewards

• Eriana's Vow Catalyst: increases magazine size and reloads the weapon automatically after holstering for a short time. Destinypedia adds that 700 kills are then needed to masterwork it.

Trivia

• Patch 6.3.0.5 made Year-5 ritual activities count, and Catalyst Quest Boost can be applied to it.
