History of The Singularity

The Singularity is a private area on Kepler in The Edge of Fate, a sacred site for the Aionians and the House of Exile. It connects to the Caldera. Destinypedia says it can only be entered after you have collected all the Strangelet Capsules available at your current World Level. Enemies there include the House of Exile, the Nessian Schism and Vex.

Lore

The gravitational singularity beneath Kepler is what the Aionians revere as the Holy Anomaly. Per Destinypedia it was created by III of The Nine, who used dark matter to form a black hole under the surface. The Exiles under Archon Levaszk cut the Aionians off from it, hoping to use it to ascend. After Maya Sundaresh intervened, III was killed and its corpse remains under Kepler, with the singularity at its core still a risk to the Sol System if it destabilizes.
