History of Telesto

Overview

Telesto is an Exotic Void Fusion Rifle in the Energy slot, first seen in Destiny 1's The Taken King and returned in Curse of Osiris. Its intrinsic perk fires projectiles that stick to targets and surfaces and detonate with a delayed Void blast; multikills generate Orbs. It was originally a Power weapon in Year 1 before being reclassified. Its lore references the Queen's Harbingers and Cassoid manufacture.

Acquisition

• Exotic engrams and as an extremely rare world drop.
• Xûr: occasionally sold.

Catalyst

The catalyst grants Deeper Pockets (more reserve ammo). Older guides describe it as a drop from Legend or Master Lost Sectors, followed by 300 kills with Telesto.

Trivia

In Season of Plunder (November 2022) Bungie playfully glitched Telesto and let it take over the official Destiny Twitter account.
