History of Techsec

Overview

Techsec is a Legendary armor set for Hunter, Titan and Warlock. Its bonuses focus on Kinetic damage against shields, overshields, vehicles and constructs. The set has a vendor and a supply drop in the Tower.

Set bonuses

• Wrecker (2-piece): significantly increased Kinetic damage against combatant shields, overshields, vehicles and constructs. Constructs include barricades, turrets, Stasis crystals and other objects created in the field.
• Concussive Rounds (4-piece): defeating powerful combatants or breaking a combatant shield with Kinetic damage releases a disorienting Kinetic shockwave.

Acquisition

• Supply drop: the Techsec Supply Drop is in the Tower near Zavala. Each account can claim it once, and it includes a full set of Tier 3 Techsec armor. A progametalk guide says it was available through Season 27, which may be out of date now.
• Vendor: light.gg lists Techsec as a subvendor of Reclamation, selling armor rewards for your active class from the season pass, with price reductions for pieces you already own. Two light.gg pages list different piece names, so the class mapping is unconfirmed.

The bonuses are from game data. Sources did not describe Wrecker or Concussive Rounds beyond the set bonus text.
