History of Targeted Redaction

Overview

Targeted Redaction is a Legendary Void Hand Cannon with an Aggressive frame, styled as a Taken-themed take on the Spare Rations design. Reported frame details differ (Aggressive, or a 120 RPM Hand Cannon). It is notable as the only Hand Cannon able to roll Destabilizing Rounds, so the usual PvE recommendation is Outlaw with Destabilizing Rounds for ad-clear with Void synergy. For PvP, Outlaw with Explosive Payload is suggested, though it is less reliable there than alternatives such as Exalted Truth. Its drawbacks are a slow reload and a narrow perk pool.

Acquisition

Introduced with Season of the Deep, it dropped from the seasonal activities Salvage and Deep Dive, and could be focused with Deep Engrams at the Sonar Station on the H.E.L.M. (rank-up packages from the Sonar Station also offered it). It is craftable at the Relic (five patterns).
