History of Target Lock

Target Lock is a trait weapon perk introduced in Season 19. It makes "damage increase the longer this weapon remains on a target."

The Immortal

It is the standard roll on The Immortal (Adept), where it pairs with Rangefinder. A news report said a balance change cut its maximum bonus against players from 40% to 25%; this may be outdated. The report was tied to a later mid-season update and describes the reduction as PvP only.

Barrow-Dyad

Barrow-Dyad has a separate Target Lock catalyst, covered on Target Lock Refit. Guides pair it with Taken Ambition for high single-target damage in PvE.
