History of Taranis

Overview

Taranis, also called Taranis Rivensmate, was an Ahamkara and the mate of Riven. He hatched alone in the outer Solar System and learned to hunt from the Ahamkara elders. The pair met in the Dreaming City and had a clutch of eggs together.

When the Great Ahamkara Hunt separated them, Taranis used his own wish to scatter the remaining uncorrupted eggs across the Ley Lines, which cost him his life. He died in the Black Garden. Years later the Guardian found his body while recovering an egg that Akardon had stolen. Before dying, he left the Wish-Keeper bow as a final instruction to help his species survive.
