History of Suspending Blast

Overview

Suspending Blast is the trait on New Malpais. Detonating a large number of rounds embedded in a single target suspends that target. The effect uses Strand energy, so it is a Strand weapon trait.

Acquisition and catalyst

New Malpais comes from the Ash & Iron reward pass, either from the premium track or at rank 70 of the free track. Its catalyst is unlocked at rank 90 on the same pass. Upgrading the catalyst grants Unraveling Blast, which makes explosions unravel nearby targets with Strand, rather than Suspending Blast.

History

It was introduced in Season 27.
