History of Specimen ID: NES001

Specimen ID: NES001 is the first Specimen ID quest in the Episode: Echoes chain. Failsafe in the H.E.L.M. gives it, and completing it unlocks Primary Engram Focusing.

Overview

The quest is given by Failsafe and is tied to Echoes activities on Nessus. It is short and is mostly about learning the Echoes systems.

Walkthrough

1. Give Failsafe a Piston Hammer, which is used to strike Vex Assimilation Pistons and bring radiolite to the surface. Deposit collected samples at the Radiolite Bay in the H.E.L.M.
2. Earn Extracted Data in Breach Executable, launched from the H.E.L.M. Higher difficulties progress faster.
3. Return to Failsafe in the H.E.L.M. to review her report on NES001.
4. Place the Seized Radiolite Incubator in the specimen display at the H.E.L.M.

Sources differ on the exact step layout and the number of steps, so check the in-game quest log if a step does not match.

Rewards

• Primary Engram Focusing, which lets you focus Echo Engrams into weapons and armor at Failsafe.
• The Radiolite Research Bay, Munitions Deployment Apparatus and the specimen display.

Trivia

An older database lists NES001 as a Legacy rare global quest, so it may no longer be obtainable.
