History of Solar surge

Overview

Solar surge is the damage buff from Solar weapon surge. Each stack raises damage with Solar weapons and abilities. Armor surge mods and the Path of Burning Steps exotic are the main sources.

Per stack, PvE damage is 10%, 17%, 22% and 25% at one to four stacks. PvP damage is 3%, 4.4%, 5.5% and 6%, so the buff matters far less in the Crucible. Surge bonuses from the same element do not stack, so only the highest applies.
