History of Sniper Rifle

Overview

Sniper Rifles are long-range Special weapons built for precision headshots on important targets. Only a few snipers can kill a Guardian's Super at full health in one shot. Examples include Izanagi's Burden, Whisper of the Worm, Beloved and Succession. Compare Linear Fusion Rifle and Pulse Rifle.

Rarity and damage types

Sniper Rifles come in Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary and Exotic tiers. They use several damage types, including Kinetic, Solar, Arc and Void. Examples across the tiers include Dead Zone Rifle (Common, Void), Troubadour (Uncommon, Solar), Widow's Bite (Legendary, Void) and Borealis (Exotic).
