History of Skimmer

Overview

The Skimmer is a single-occupant hoverboard-style vehicle, similar to the Sparrow. It was first added in Season of the Wish, and skimmers also appear in Episode: Revenant, Episode: Heresy and Reclamation. Skimmers are faster than Sparrows but have less control and a wider turn radius. Riders can hover, air-grind and perform tricks. Skimmers have no level requirement.

Acquisition

• Allstar Vector: an Exotic skimmer, given through the Drop In quest.
• Winged Wolf and Flitter Keel: purchasable from Eververse for silver.
• The Xûrfboard: sold by Xûr for Strange Coins.

Because skimmers have no level requirements, a Guardian can buy one on a main character and transfer it to an alt.
