History of Shrine of Oryx

Overview

The Shrine of Oryx is a private area of the Hellmouth on the Moon in the Ocean of Storms, beside the Hall of Wisdom, holding a machine that communicated with Oryx.

History

• In Destiny the Guardian destroyed the communicator after a message from Osiris.
• In the Taken King era Malok, Pride of Oryx replaced it with a Blight; Guardians killed him in a strike.
• In Destiny 2: Shadowkeep the Nightmare of the Fanatic held it; later Savathûn, disguised as Osiris, was confronted there by the Guardian and Crow.
• In Episode: Heresy Dire Taken tried a ritual with an Ogre.
