History of Shot Swap

Overview

Shot Swap is a Basic-rarity Trait introduced in Season 19. Final blows build and store charges, which let you swap to and stow the weapon at a faster rate. The payoff is quicker weapon swaps after a run of kills, rather than extra damage or stats.

Where it appears

It rolls on many weapon types, including Shotguns and Submachine Guns. Notable weapons include Hand in Hand, The Domino, Kept Confidence, Retrofuturist and Targeted Redaction.

Usefulness

Because its effect is limited to swap speed, it is most useful on weapons you swap in and out of often during a fight.
