History of Shock Blades

Shock Blades are Arc-element melee blades used by enemies in Destiny 2. Players usually see them wielded in pairs, one in each hand, by high-ranking Fallen such as Fallen Captains. Marauders and Stealth Vandals use them in close combat, and Taken Captains carry a Taken version that keeps the Arc damage type.

The blades are close-range weapons. Enemies with them can close distance quickly and attack in fast slices, so the usual approach is to keep out of melee range and stagger the enemy before it can strike.
