History of Shadows of Yor

The Shadows of Yor are a group of Guardians who idolize the infamous Dredgen Yor. They use replicas of his signature weapon, Thorn, and have taken new names in his honour. Their stated aim is to follow Yor's path up to, but not past, the point of outright corruption.

Founding

Shin Malphur founded the group while working undercover, after noticing that some Guardians were becoming interested in Yor. He created the identity "Dredgen Vale" and, with Teben Grey (Dredgen Bane), set out to weed out the weak-minded and the corrupt. Their goal was to succeed where Yor failed by balancing Light and Darkness without losing themselves.

Conflict with the Vanguard

The group is at war with the Vanguard. The Vanguard began to notice the Shadows around the SIVA Crisis, when members showed increasingly strange behaviour, such as ignoring objectives in the Crucible. Shin reportedly raised these concerns with Ikora Rey, but believed she was not taking them seriously enough.
